It’s that time of the year agai; to think of what you’d like to change or what you’d like to accomplish, and write down resolutions that you can actually commit to. While some of the most common resolutions involve beauty, finance, or health, home resolutions can actually help you live a happier life; much better than the year before.
Check out these easy home resolutions and see for yourself what kinds of positive changes they can bring to your home life:
#1: Clean and de-clutter – If you ever need a compelling reason to donate or throw out “stuff,” look to what psychology says about cleaning and de-cluttering: not only is it a great stress reliever, but a mood and creativity-enhancing activity as well. Of course, having a clean and organized environment is a perk all by itself!

#2: Grow a green thumb – We’ve always known that a touch of green in the home can add a sense of calm and tranquility, and now there’s more research to back up those claims; owning a garden or the act of gardening can do wonders for your mental health!
Even if you don’t have a backyard, you can still get into gardening by purchasing plants for your patio or balcony. If you want to take your gardening to the next level, you can also look into growing your own food.

#3: Start a DIY project – No, you don’t need to know your way around everything about the home to start your own DIY project. It can be as simple as repainting the walls or as challenging as installing new floor tiles—the point of undertaking DIY projects is to spur you into activity and hopefully, get fit while doing so!
