In a couple of days, Super Bowl XLVI will kick off and that only means one thing: Super Bowl party! If you’re hosting one in your home, there are a couple of things you might want to make sure of to make sure everyone (including you) will enjoy their time watching the game.
Almost like a national holiday, Super Bowl Sunday is one day you’d want to go all out with your party hosting skills. By taking responsibility of hosting this year’s game party, it’s important that you impress your fellow football fans by ensuring the smoothest, most enjoyable and memorable Super Bowl celebration no matter what teams you and your guests are rooting for.
So, how can you impress your guests? Here are a couple of ideas to consider:
Securing your Tech
Nothing beats a well-configured home entertainment system. However, even the highest grade gadgets on the market aren’t enough to assure you of a great time watching the game. You also have to do your part in ensuring that these work properly and won’t be prone to any careless slip of the hand or foot.
One thing you can do is to make sure the TV is in sync with the sound system. This is important since you don’t want to suddenly lose audio – or worse, video – during the game due to faulty wiring or a loose cord.
Additionally, it would be best to tape down the wires that go from your speakers to the TV, or keep them near walls, to make sure no one trips on them during defining moments of the game.
Keeping Things Clean
Where there’s a Super Bowl party, there’s also a whole bunch of snacks that it can’t do without. Whether you’re serving a whole array of chips and dips, Buffalo wings, hoagies, pizza, tacos, or nachos, it’s inevitable that some of them will drop on the floor, on the table, or worse, on the upholstery.
Luckily, avoiding the dreaded party stains is simple. Just make sure there are lots of places for your guests to set down their snacks. If all you have is a little coffee table or ottoman in the living room, consider adding some small foldable tables or clearing out the other occasional tables. It’ll also help to protect your upholstery and tables with washable covers. An abundance of paper towels will also go a long way.
These are just some of the things you can do to ensure a smooth, entertaining, and fun-filled Super Bowl party in your home. Got any more ideas? Feel free to share them by leaving a comment – we’d love to hear from you!
